Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal’s servant leadership style on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. The principal’s leadership is one of the important factors affecting the effectiveness of educational organizations, particularly in improving the quality of teachers’ work performance. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consisted of all teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya, with the sample determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale to measure the variables of servant leadership and teacher performance. Data analysis was carried out using validity testing, reliability testing, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the assistance of statistical software. The results of the study indicate that the principal’s servant leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The higher the implementation of servant leadership principles by the principal, the better the quality of teacher performance in carrying out their professional duties. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing a service-oriented leadership model in improving the quality of education.
