Media Virtual Vs Media Konkret: Peningkatan Kompetensi Dalam Merepresentasi
Abstrak
Representational Competence (RC) dapat ditingkatkan dengan pembelajaran berbantuan media virtual dan konkret. Namun, efektivitas penggunaan media virtual berbeda secara signifikan dengan media konkret. Studi terbaru tidak sepenuhnya mengkonfirmasi penggunaan media virtual dan konkret karena bahan yang digunakan memiliki tingkat visuo-spasial yang rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan bahan simetri molekuler dengan tingkat visuo-spasial tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan keefektifan penggunaan media konkrit dan vitrual terhadap pemahaman siswa tentang materi simetri. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan 62 siswa sebagai sampel. Instrumen tes pemahaman simetri memiliki koefisien reliabilitas berdasarkan uji Cronbach Alpha 0,897. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji analisis varians dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media virtual lebih efektif daripada media konkret dalam meningkatkan RC dan memahami simetri molekuler.
